Rough Top Impression belting is one of the most popular impression patterns in the belting industry. It is used to carry everything from boxes to lumber. Legg Company offers several different constructions for your conveying needs. With Legg Company’s wide range of carcass and compound selections, you’re sure to find one that fits your needs.
This carcass is comprised of a Cotton Polyester blend fabric with a nice tight weave. This blend makes for a nice flexible carcass with good strength and good bulk. It has been in the industry for years and will commonly be referred to as a 28oz. Carcass. It has a long life expectancy and is very good for small pulleys. Available in a friction or bare back.
This carcass is comprised of 100% spun Polyester. It offers excellent strength, superior weather resistance, excellent chemical and heat resistance, good tracking and durability, all at an economical price. The spun Polyester also offers good thickness and bulk to the carcass yet handles the small pulleys in so many of today’s applications. Available in a friction or bare back. This 100% spun Polyester carcass is the ultimate in carcass design. It has all the features and benefits of a spun Polyester carcass such as the SP2/100 and SP3/150 above but with one very, very important feature. The unique S and Z weave of the fabric is the ultimate in tracking stability. It is used, and in most cases required, in very high speed applications such as letter sorting, high speed package handling, and side load applications. Having tracking problems, this is the best carcass style available to solve your problems. Available in a friction or bare back.
All the features and benefits of the SPSZ 70 pound series above, but with that extra break strength needed in many applications where heavy loads are being conveyed. Incorporates the same S and Z weave fabric for the ultimate in tracking stability. Available in a friction or bare back. This all Polyester carcass is the ultimate in strength and minimum pulley diameters. The filament Polyester fabric in this carcass offers the greatest amount of strength in the thinnest carcass available. This makes it ideal when you need maximum strength and are using the smallest of pulleys. It also incorporates the S and Z weave for the ultimate tracking experience. It is also one of the more economical carcasses when you consider the spectacular performance. Available in bare or cover back.
FPSZ-2/160-HV AND FPSZ-3/240-HV
An all Filament Polyester carcass keeps the carcass thickness to a minimum with exceptional break strength. Used when conveying very heavy loads. Good tracking, good chemical and heat resistance, low stretch, and good troughing characteristics are some of the many features of this carcass. Available in bare or cover back.
XT GII Black RMA Grade II SBR. - Black Skims
One of the most widely used compounds, it is ideal for the conveying of many products. It’s features include a high coefficient of friction, excellent wear value, and it is very economical. Legg offers the XT-GII in either a 60 or 45 duro.
Black Moderately Oil Resistant - Black Skims This compound is ideal when conveying products with mild oil content or where a slight amount of oil is present. It has a moderately high coefficient of friction, excellent wear, and is economical.
Black Very Oil Resistant - Black Skims
This compound is a pure Nitrile compound with excellent oil resistance. It should be used anywhere there is moderate to heavy oils present such as dust suppression, or in the product itself. It maintains a moderately high coefficient of friction. As with any Nitrile compound, you will lose durability.Tan Pure Gum (Non Marking) - Tan Skims
This compound offers an extremely high coefficient of friction. The 45 duro natural rubber compound is the best compound if you really need to get a grip on product, whether it is to get it up the incline, or slow it down, this is the best choice. It has excellent abrasion resistance, excellent cut and gouge resistant, and is very flexible. It is non marking so it can be used to handle parts where cosmetics are a must.Tan Non Marking SBR - Tan Skims
Legg's TNM SBR is available in either a 60 duro or a 45 duro for a higher coefficient of friction. It is non marking so it can be used to handle parts where cosmetics are a must. It is a synthetic compound so it is more economical than the TPG while retaining many of the benefits. It has good abrasion resistance and good cut and gouge resistance.Blue Carboxylated Nitrile - Black Skims This compound is one of the toughest compounds on the market. The fact that it is Carboxylated makes it ideal for very abrasive and abusive applications. It is widely used in the corrugated box and paper industry as well as stamping and lumber. Because it is a Nitrile compound it offers excellent oil and grease resistance.
Rust Carboxylated Nitrile - Rust Skims
The same compound and benefits of the BCBX above, but in a Rust color.
Rust Very Oil Resistant - Rust Skims
This compound is a pure Nitrile compound with excellent oil resistance. It should be used anywhere there is moderate to heavy oils present such as dust suppression, or in the product itself. It maintains a moderately high coefficient of friction. As with any Nitrile compound, you will lose durability.
EPDM Black High Heat
This compound offers very good to excellent heat resistance with temperatures ranging to 400o F. It also offers outstanding ozone and oxidation resistance as well as very good abrasion resistance. This makes for an ideal compound for many applications. Handling high temperature products in outside environments or high temperature handling of very abrasive products.
